Why the environment is important to me:
We have one world that will only serve us if we serve it. Although the earth will continue to try to be tolerant of the abuse it endures at the hands of humans, it will not be able to serve us in the way it has for millenia if we continue to take and not give. We must work as a partner of the planet rather than an owner.
Why I'm a Clean Air Champion:
As a national team paddler, an adventure racer, and mountain bike athlete, I am fortunate to have competed on the trails, rivers, lakes and in the forests of countries across the globe. While I have experienced some pristine wildernes and well managed environments, I have also witnessed places that have been destroyed by what some call progress. As a Clean Air Champion, I will strive to make a difference by highlighting the importance of an environmental & ecological awareness - as we all strive for success in our one world.
