Why the environment is important to me:
I have trained in a very polluted environment. The air was hard to breathe in and the smell of the air and sight of garbage and smog was not enjoyable! It is easier and more enjoyable to exercise in areas with good air quality. Also, it is very important to drink clean water and to enjoy healthy and naturally grown food. If we continue to pollute the environment there will be significant climate changes. The effects for us will be: bad quality of water, air, and food. It will also lead to diseases that will affect us all. It is very important to keep the environment clean!
Why I'm a Clean Air Champion:
We all need to actively participate in making our world a better and cleaner place! I know that many children and some adults are not well educated on the effects of greenhouse gas emissions and climate change. Being a clean air champion would allow me to educate and motivate others to make healthy choices! If we all make a commitment to being more active by biking and walking to places we would help to keep our world clean and keep our bodies healthy! After speaking to children, they will become more aware of the little things that they can do to make our world a healthy place. They can also share the information with their families and set an example for their parents, as well as future generations.
